Dr. Thomas Freund is an Invasive/Non-Interventional Cardiologist with Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group.

Dr. Freund, who was in private practice at his own Hartford County Cardiology PC since 2014, has clinical interest in echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and preoperative risk stratification, including bariatrics.

Dr. Freund received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of California San Diego and a fellowship at the University of Connecticut. He has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Instructor at the University of Connecticut since 1987.

Dr. Freund is a Fellow with the American College of Cardiology, and is a Diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine, Certified in Cardiology, and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of the Connecticut State Medical Society and the Hartford County Medical Society. Dr. Freund is certified in ACLS and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
