About
William Gionfriddo, M.D., is the Associate Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology with Trinity Health Of New England's Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Gionfriddo provides excellent care for patients in the field of Cardiac Electrophysiology. He specializes in all aspects of arrhythmia care with a particular focus on ablation of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. Additionally, he is skilled in robotic ablation using Stereotaxis Remote Navigation for ventricular tachycardia management.
Dr. Gionfriddo completed fellowships in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease and an Internal Medicine Residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Mass. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he earned the Carl F. Hinz, Jr. Award for Excellence in Scholars in Medicine and served as the Student Commencement Speaker in 2014.
During Fellowship, Dr. Gionfriddo served on the Tufts Cardiovascular Center Fellows Curriculum Committee and was the Tufts Medical Center Cardiovascular Fellow Liaison to the American Heart Association’s Cardiovascular Fellows Society of Greater Boston. He was also a founding member of the Code Curriculum Committee. He has worked closely with specialists at the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Institute in Boston to prevent adverse arrhythmia outcomes in this population.
Dr. Gionfriddo is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
