Fellowships

Saint Mary’s Hospital has no plans at this time to sponsor fellowship programs. However, Saint Mary’s Hospital is closely affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine. Through research, electives, participation in regional and national conferences, and rotations at Yale University, Saint Mary’s Hospital residents have the opportunity to interact regularly with both full-time Saint Mary’s faculty and Yale faculty for mentorship, career planning, and academic development, while gaining insight into the research opportunities available at Yale. In addition, residents have the opportunity to participate in “away electives” with planning and permission of the program directorship.  Former residents from Saint Mary’s Hospital Program have seen great success in matching into subspecialty and general internal medicine fellowships and in establishing fruitful and prominent academic careers.

Our residency program has an increasingly strong record of fellowship placement, reflecting the preparation and mentorship our residents receive.
