Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to provide a strong medical foundation early in training, with progressive focus on podiatric surgery and increasing autonomy throughout the three years. 

The first year emphasizes broad-based medical training and interdisciplinary exposure. Rotations include:

  • 33 weeks of Podiatric Surgery
  • 4 weeks each of General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine
  • 2 weeks each of Infectious Disease and Behavioral Health
  • 1 week each of Pathology, Anesthesiology, and Radiology

The second year builds on this foundation with more specialized rotations while increasing time in podiatric surgery:

  • 41 weeks of Podiatric Surgery
  • 2 weeks each of Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Infectious Disease, and Rheumatology
  • 1 week each of Anesthesiology, Radiology, Dermatology

The final year centers on advanced podiatric surgical training and preparation for independent practice:

  • 48 weeks of Podiatric Surgery
  • 1 week each of Dermatology and Practice Management
  • 2 weeks of Plastic Surgery
