Contact UsTrinity Health of New England’s Section of Cardiac Surgery delivers a level of expertise, precision, and personalized care that sets a new standard in the greater Hartford region. While larger, more visible programs may rely on name recognition, our team is built around something more meaningful—outcomes, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to each individual patient. Here, patients are partners in a highly coordinated, surgeon-led approach that prioritizes safety, recovery, and long-term success.
Our program offers truly comprehensive, full-service adult cardiac surgery, encompassing the most advanced techniques available today.
From minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures to complex re-do operations, we tailor every intervention to the patient - not the other way around. Our coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) program includes all forms of revascularization - on-pump, off-pump, multi-arterial grafting, and robotic approaches - ensuring optimal outcomes with less trauma and faster recovery.
We are leaders in valve and aortic care, offering the full spectrum of aortic valve procedures, including repair, replacement, minimally invasive approaches, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and complex root enlargements. Our mitral valve program excels in all forms of repair - anterior, posterior, and bileaflet - alongside cutting-edge transcatheter options such as MitraClip and TMVR. We also provide comprehensive tricuspid valve repair, including advanced transcatheter techniques, as well as highly specialized aortic surgery involving the root, ascending aorta, and arch.
Beyond these core services, our expertise extends to complex and highly specialized procedures, including surgery for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM), adult congenital heart disease, cardiac tumor removal, and advanced heart failure interventions. Our ability to deploy extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) provides life-saving support for the most critically ill patients.
What truly distinguishes Trinity Health Of New England is not just the breadth of services, but the depth of experience and individualized care behind them. Patients benefit from a cohesive, highly responsive team that combines academic-level expertise with a community-centered approach - delivering world-class cardiac surgery without the impersonal feel of larger institutions.
