About
Madappa Kundranda, MD, PhD, FACP, is joining Trinity Health Of New England as the Regional Chair of Oncology. Dr. Kundranda most recently served as Chief, Division of Cancer Medicine; Chair (I), Division of Research; and Co-Director, GI Cancer Program at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Arizona. He was also a professor and Chair of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. Dr. Kundranda has mentored more than 25 medical students, residents and fellows with career development and research endeavors. He has led numerous clinical trials as a principal investigator, presented at national and international conferences and symposiums and contributed extensively to various publications. Dr. Kundranda completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology from the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education following a residency and internship at Cleveland Clinic Fairvew Hospital. He received his medical degree from Bangalore University in India and his Ph.D. in Cancer Biology at Meharry Medical College in Nashville.
Along with overseeing Oncology Services throughout the region, Dr. Kundranda is seeing new patients in Hartford, Enfield, Glastonbury, Stafford Springs and Waterbury.
