Lalarukh N. Mufti, MD completed her internal medicine residency training at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, then went on to work at Summit Hospital in Hermitage, TN. She has practiced medicine in Avon, Connecticut since May 2011.

Dr. Mufti is well known in the Farmington Valley for her compassion, taking a keen interest in the total well-being of her patients. She takes the time to answer patients’ questions and strives to keep her knowledge current with the latest advances in medicine.??

As your Primary Care Physician (PCP), Dr. Fufti can help you achieve and maintain optimal health and fitness by knowing your lifestyle, along with regular examinations, laboratory testing, immunizations, medication management and specialist referrals when necessary.

Dr. Mufti is usually your first contact because familiarity, accessibility, ease of communication, and managed care requirements. Many health maintenance organizations require PCPs to regulate access to the more costly procedures with specialists.

As PCP, Dr.Mufti acts on behalf of her patients to collaborate with outside specialists, coordinate care, work with hospitals or rehabilitation centers, keep patient’s records on file, and provide long-term management of chronic conditions. Continuous care is important for patients with medical conditions that involve multiple organs and require prolonged treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypothyroidism and hypertension.
