About
Laki Rousou, M.D. is a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon. Raised in the Pioneer Valley, Dr. Rousou is the Chief of Thoracic Surgery, Director of Robotic Surgery, and Medical Director of the Lung Cancer Screening Program. He has been a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons since 2010 and the Massachusetts Medical Society since 2014. In 2018, Dr. Rousou was recognized as a LUNG FORCE Hero by the American Lung Association.
Dr. Rousou completed his general surgery training at NYU Medical Center in New York, NY, and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He specializes in minimally-invasive robotic thoracic surgery and offers a continuum of non-cardiac thoracic surgical services. Since 2016, Dr. Rousou has been listed among the top 5 in New England for completion of robotic thoracic surgery cases. He strives to let others know that cutting-edge care does not have to just be provided in larger cities—the same care is being completed closer to home at Mercy Medical Center.
