Triple board-certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Rana received fellowship training in endocrinology from the University of Minnesota and in geriatric medicine from the University of Oklahoma. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Yale University, Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut. Dr. Rana received his medical degree from the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania.

While Dr Rana is very good physician who listens and explains the processes of your health condition and treats one with courtesy and respect and spends time with the patient, the follow up with the office regarding medication, and prior authorizations will take a good month before medication is received due to the red tape of calling and leaving messages with his staff with very little follow up and action. I believe, the supportive staff working with a physician needs to be as good as a physician. while they are respectful and respond in kind when calling, responding to patient concern or problem lacks to resolve patient care. As far as I am concerned, Once patient sees physician in office, the care of patient is not complete until the patient receives the medicine the physician prescribed and can return for follow up. And, Dr. Rana is the type of physician that deserves the same respect and courtesy with his staff follow up as he gives to his patients.

Do more research and obtain more experience in his field. Telling a patient who was referred by their primary care to just get more sleep is unacceptable. I asked for advice and I was met with someone who, unfortunately, demonstrated their lack of experience and knowledge

Me cancela las citas con frecuencia, mi diabetes no ha sido controlada, casi nunca me manda exámenes de laboratorio cuando inicié mi AC1 era 6.5 y con el doctor aumentó a 7.2. Solo incrementa la insulina actualmente estoy en 40 mg tres veces al día lisinopril and 40 una ves al día de lantus, no está funcionando cada ves empeora, los riñones están málos, los ojos y el corazón y ahora el páncreas. Todo por qué no se controla el azúcar
