Dr. Veeresh Kumar serves as the Section Chief of Neurology and Medical Director of the Epilepsy Center at Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. He is an attending neurologist/epileptologist at Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. He also provides Epilepsy and EEG services to Saint Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury, CT and other sister hospitals under Trinity HealthOf New England.
After graduating from a prestigious medical school in India with first-class honors, Dr. Kumar began his post-doctoral training in Internal Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and continued his training at this institution to complete a residency in Neurology. This was followed by a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Montefiore Medical Center - Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYC, and an additional one-year fellowship in Epilepsy at Emory University School of Medicine, focusing on Stereotactic EEG and epilepsy surgery planning.
Dr. Kumar has presented in many national and international conferences, and his findings have been published in professional journals and textbooks.
