Edward John Detweiler, DO

Edward Detweiler, DO is a member of the Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group as a Primary Care Physician within the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Detweiler earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. He most recently completed a residency in family medicine with Eastern Connecticut Health Network in Manchester, gaining experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He was also selected as a member of the COVID-19 Residency Response Team at Manchester Memorial Hospital at the onset of the pandemic.

A native of Long Island, N.Y., Dr. Detweiler is excited to be practicing in New England. He welcomes a diverse population of patients to his practice. Dr. Detweiler believes in building relationships with his patients in a way that compliments his delivery of comprehensive, evidence-based medical care. He acknowledges, respects, and takes a special interest in learning about the cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds of his patients. Dr. Detweiler speaks Italian, has a limited understanding of basic medical Spanish, and is actively learning Portuguese.
