Asafu Owosu

Asafu Owosu, PT

Asafu Owosu has twenty-five years of experience as a physical therapist. He received his education at Long Island University's Brooklyn campus.  Asafu has always practiced in the inner city, either in Brooklyn or Hartford. He enjoys working with diverse populations found in both cities and coming across different cultures. As an orthopedic physical therapist, Asafu's focus is on movement and exercise performance.  When working with either post-surgical, acute injury, or those who suffer from chronic conditions, his goal is to return them to their prior function safely and quickly using therapeutic exercise and improving movement.  When discharged patients tell Asafu that they joined the gym, or that they performed the exercises when the pain returned and the pain went away, he counts it as a win for the patient and for the field of physical therapy.
