About

Grace S. Lee, M.D., FACS, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship-trained in comprehensive endocrine surgery, is an endocrine surgeon at Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group. Dr. Lee received a Focused Practice Designation in Adult Complex Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery from the American Board of Surgery. This national certification recognizes endocrine surgeons who have focused their practice on the care of adult patients with complex thyroid and parathyroid conditions. To qualify, surgeons must submit detailed logs demonstrating expertise in the full complement of complex operations, followed by a rigorous exam.

Dr. Lee obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She then completed a residency in general surgery and a research fellowship in surgical oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, followed by a comprehensive endocrine surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic.

Before joining the Department of Surgery at Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group, Dr. Lee served as an endocrine surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. She currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Lee has authored more than 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is an elected member of both the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the American Head and Neck Society.
