HARTFORD, Conn. – With safety as a top priority and in light of seasonal, respiratory viral illnesses, Trinity Health Of New England strongly recommends that colleagues, patients and visitors wear a mask in patient-facing clinical settings throughout our hospitals and ambulatory locations.

Designed to support the health of our patients and visitors, as well as colleagues, this recommendation comes as a result of the recent uptick in cases of upper respiratory tract illnesses that have been reported across Trinity Health Of New England facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  While masking is not required at this time, the recommendation to mask follows CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of germs that may result in respiratory viruses and other infectious diseases.  The most recent information regarding masking from the CDC can be found here.
