Trinity Health Of New England Hospitals Recognized by U.S. News & World Report
August 4, 2026HARTFORD, Conn. – U.S. News & World Report has recognized three Trinity Health Of New England hospitals on the 2026-27 Best Hospitals List. Saint Francis Hospital was named a Best Regional Hospital for the 14th consecutive year, while Mercy Medical Center and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital were recognized as High Performing Hospitals for specialty care.
Saint Francis Hospital was named a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for the 14th consecutive year.
Along with being a Best Regional Hospital, Saint Francis was recognized as a High Performing hospital for its care in the following specialties: Aortic Aneurysm Repair; Colon Cancer Surgery; Heart Attack; Hip Replacement; Knee Replacement; Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma; Pacemaker Implantation; and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
Mercy received High Performing rankings for Colon Cancer Surgery and Lung Cancer Surgery. Mount Sinai was recognized as a High Performing Rehabilitation Hospital as part of four new regional specialty rankings for 2026-27.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals’ performance on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and level of nursing care. The Best Hospitals Procedures and Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
