Trinity Health Of New England Announces Intent to Join Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Care Collaborative
July 1, 2026HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity Health Of New England is pleased to announce that the organization has engaged Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to assess the organization’s oncology program with the intent of becoming a member of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Care Collaborative by January 2027. As the assessment process is conducted over the next several months, Dana-Farber will provide Trinity Health Of New England with several clinical support services as the new relationship is developed collaboratively.

The effort to engage with Dana-Farber is in line with Trinity Health Of New England’s priorities regarding continuity of care and continued investment in oncology services. “We are building an oncology program that is locally led, regionally integrated and designed for long-term growth and clinical excellence for years to come. We foresee a strong future as a Collaborative Member of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute once their assessment and diligence process is completed,” said Steven Hanks, MD, MMM, FACP, FFSMB, President & CEO, Trinity Health Of New England.
Trinity Health Of New England’s relationship with Dana-Farber will begin with a focus on medical oncology and will provide clinical advisory support, access to Dana-Farber subspecialty expertise including access to tumor boards and office hours to review patient cases, educational resources and professional development opportunities including lectures and symposia, program development initiatives and best practice sharing. The collaboration is also expected to expand opportunities for innovation and professional development across Trinity Health Of New England’s oncology program.
