Hundreds of colleagues, clinicians, benefactors, local leaders and guests gathered to celebrate the healthcare heroes who care for patients and families throughout Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
A highlight of the evening was the story of a grateful patient who shared her journey following a surprise lung diagnosis. Through a featured video, guests learned about her experience and the providers, nurses, technicians and support staff who cared for her throughout that journey.
“We are grateful that we were able to gather and celebrate the miracles that happen across our hospitals and ambulatory sites. Honoring this courageous patient and her care team reminds us that our efforts and support can help transform the lives of our patients, and that is incredibly important,” said Timothy R. Stanton, Regional Vice President of Philanthropy, Trinity Health Of New England.
Proceeds from the gala will support the Thoracic Oncology Program across the region.
WTNH News 8 “Good Morning Connecticut” anchors Keith Kountz and Laura Hutchinson served as emcees. The evening also featured entertainment by XS Band, along with portraits and photo booth keepsakes for guests.
