Mindfulness

Mindfulness is deliberate and prolonged focusing of one’s attention on immediate experiences, both external and internal, as they unfold from moment to moment, without judgment. Jon Kabit-Zinn

  • Meditation is simple but not easy – take 10-15 minutes daily to relax your mind which then can increase your energy. Meditation increases happiness.
  • Use the 4-7-8 breath. (Breathe in for 4, hold for 7, out for 8)
  • Remember to breathe and ground at every opportunity… being present in the moment keeps your mind awake and alert.
  • Try the STOP meditation – Slow down, Take 3 deep breaths, Observe your mind and body, Proceed with positivity.
  • Try a guided meditation.
  • Resist going on Social Media and turn off notifications on your smart phone. Check the news one or two times a day to be updated and then turn it OFF!
