Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity
Hours
The Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity (CDRCHE) is dedicated to engaging our community for optimal health. Our multi-cultural team is committed to a collaborative approach, one that includes working with grassroots neighborhood organizations, caregivers, health professionals, researchers, foundations, state agencies and others to eliminate health disparities in communities served by Trinity Health Of New England.
The Center promotes the idea that engaging and empowering collaborative relationships to respond to the health and wellness needs of our community will help “build trust, enlist new resources and allies, create better communication, and improve overall health outcomes as successful projects evolve into lasting collaborations.” (CDC, 1997; Shore, 2006; Wallerstein, 2002)
Vision

Advance health equity in our communities through engagement, research, education, and advocacy.
Guidelines
Working on improving Health Equity is complex and not easily attained. It takes time and a collaborative effort to stay focused and to find opportunities to celebrate change. The process is slow but it is rewarding to see the significant difference that this work can have on the health and well-being of others. Over time our team has developed a set of Guiding Principles for doing this work. They include:
- Looking for simple solutions in attaining equitable care
- Continual learning
- Respecting the value of each person’s input
- Having relationships at the Center of the work
- Continue to build trust with sustained engagement
