About this event
The 4th Annual Emergency Medicine Procedural Refresher Course is designed to combat procedural skill decay for those providing emergency care. It is instructed by practicing emergency physicians including pediatric emergency medicine faculty. This is an opportunity to refresh both your pediatric and adult procedural skills in the supportive environment of the simulation center.Coffee and lunch will be provided.
Examples of procedure stations are as follows:
Adult
- Cricothyrotomy
- Management of the difficult airway
- Needle decompression, pigtail and tube thoracostomy
- US guided pericardiocentesis
- US guided Cordis insertion and transvenous pacing
- US guided subclavian placement
- Toxic ingestion
- Traumatic arrest/hemorrhagic shock
- Airway management and cricothyrotomy
- Intraosseous line placement
