Amber Hughes Named Medical Group Colleague of the Month

Amber Hughes, Medical Assistant for the Weight Management Institute in Hartford, was selected as Medical Group Colleague of the Month.

Amber was nominated for her “unwavering dedication, compassion and excellence in patient care.” It was noted in her nomination that Amber consistently goes above and beyond in her role. In her nomination, Amber’s manager noted that she “greets every patient with genuine kindness and positivity, creating a welcoming and supportive environment from the moment they walk through the door. Her respectful and compassionate demeanor towards patients helps them feel seen, heard, and cared for – an essential part of the work we do.”

Amber’s nomination also described her strong initiative, from organizing supplies to assisting colleagues to anticipating a patient’s needs before they even voice them, always acting with thoughtfulness and efficiency. Her manager concluded by saying, “Amber is an integral part of our team and a true example of excellence.”
