The Saint Mary’s Hospital Senior Leadership Team hosted an evening to celebrate colleagues marking a significant milestone in years of service with the Saint Mary’s community. The event held on March 20, was an opportunity for Senior Leaders to express their gratitude for the invaluable contributions these colleagues make to the success of Saint Mary’s.
Just over 100 guests attended the event, yet nearly 200 Saint Mary’s colleagues celebrated Anniversary Milestones in 2023, including those marking 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and any year beyond. One of the longest serving colleagues is respiratory care practitioner, Carol Burgos, who in 2023 marked 49 years at Saint Mary’s. Carol’s manager stated, “Her caring and thoughtfulness not only applies to the bedside, but to her team. She is the first with words of encouragement, a small gift, or flowers. She is our rock!”
Clinical Engineering’s Joe Veneziano celebrated 48 years in 2023. Joe’s manager shared, “Joe will not be retiring anytime soon; we plan to connect him to whatever device he needs to keep working. He consistently makes the extra effort to ensure that our OR staff has everything they need for our patients. His knowledge is priceless.”
Unable to attend the event were colleagues who have given Saint Mary’s Hospital 50 and 53 years!
