Saint Mary’s Chief Medical Officer named Medical Director for Waterbury Health Department

We are pleased to announce that Husnain Kermalli, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Saint Mary’s Hospital has recently been named the new Medical Director at the Waterbury Health Department. These duties will be conducted independently from his role at Saint Mary’s, where he will continue to serve as Chief Medical Officer.

As Medical Director for the Waterbury Health Department, he will oversee the clinical aspects of their public health programs and services. Dr. Kermalli will provide invaluable consultation and guidance on patient care in Health Department clinics.
An announcement from the Waterbury Health Department states, “his role is crucial in maintaining the health and well-being of the Waterbury community through effective public health strategies and interventions.”
