The Saint Mary's Hospital Breast Center Attains National Accreditation from the American College of Surgeons.

Beth Sieling, MD, Chair, Department of Breast Surgery; Caterina Aiello, DO, Breast Surgeon; and Nicole Sookhan, MD, FRCS, FACS, Breast Surgeon, were honored to receive the accreditation at the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center. “Receiving the NABPC accreditation is a meaningful recognition of our commitment to excellence in breast care,“ said Dr. Sieling.

Programs accredited by the NAPBC follow a model for organizing and managing a breast center to support multidisciplinary, comprehensive breast cancer services. The NAPBC focuses on the spectrum of a patient’s journey with breast cancer or breast disease, including prevention, screening, treatment and survivorship. By setting high standards, NAPBC accreditation guides breast centers in providing comprehensive, evidence-based breast care.

“This nationally recognized accreditation reflects our dedication to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered care and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be recognized for the work we do for our patients and our community,” said Dr. Sookhan.
