Marilu Gullen Named Colleague of the Month at Saint Francis

Marilu, Medical Technologist in the Chemistry Lab, was selected as the Saint Francis Colleague of the Month for November.

Marilu has been a valued and integral part of the Saint Francis laboratory team for over 45 years. In her nomination, Marilu was recognized for her leadership, serving as a teacher for students and new colleagues and a role model in her work ethic and integrity. It was noted that she is adept at troubleshooting instrument issues, with her manager writing, “when technical or procedural problems arise she is quick to collaborate with doctors, nurses, coworkers and team leaders to research and resolve the issues to conclusion.”

Marilu was described in her multiple nominations as both “the superglue” and “a pillar” in the department. One colleague said, “her professional expertise is an invaluable asset, but her dedication to her coworkers is what I find particularly impactful. She fosters trust and loyalty among the laboratory team and makes it a fun place to work. She is a model, dedicated employee, and we are so lucky to have her working with us!”
