“It is a comfort to know our patients are being cared for by Kristen and Nadia,” said Beth Esstman, APRN, Palliative Care. “Their exceptional assessment skills, knowledge about symptom management, compassion, and innate instinct to advocate for others are invaluable. Their impact makes Saint Francis, and the world around us, a better place.”

The Sue Keefe Excellence in Palliative Care Award is a $200 prize given to a colleague who has demonstrated exceptional palliative support or care to a Saint Francis patient and/or family. The award will be given annually during November, which is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. Colleagues are nominated via a submission to the Palliative Care team which includes a statement of 250 words or less about how the nominee has captured Sue’s mission by providing care to a palliative patient or family.
