Leslieann Gonzalez Named Colleague of the Month at Saint Francis

Leslie, Practice Manager in the Cancer Center, was honored as the Colleague of the Month for July.

Leslie is deeply committed to her patients and their families and is always willing to do whatever she can to help. An example of this dedication, which prompted one of her colleagues to submit a nomination, exemplified Leslie’s extraordinary level of care and compassion. In her nomination, Leslie’s colleague described how she went above and beyond to help secure treatment for a patient with a rare cancer diagnosis. Recognizing the urgency of the situation and the potential impact on the patient’s treatment hours, Leslie took immediate action – outside of normal business hours, including a weekend – to ensure every possible avenue was explored. 

Her colleague wrote, “I have had the privilege of working alongside Leslie for the past 11 years, and this es exactly the kind of person she is. While her dedication never surprises me, this particular act of kindness and advocacy stood out. I am incredibly grateful to work alongside someone who cares so deeply and consistently puts patients first. Her actions make a meaningful difference not just in this situation but every single day. Leslie truly deserves recognition for this outstanding effort and the meaningful difference she made in the life of a patient and their family. We are so fortunate to have her.”
