Halina Oleksy-Filip, CNA on 9-9 at Saint Francis Hospital, was recently honored with a Sunshine Award. This recognition is given to nursing support team members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to compassionate care.

Halina Oleksy-Filip, CNA on 9-9 at Saint Francis, was presented with a Sunshine Award in recognition of her commitment to compassionate care.

Halina was nominated for the Sunshine Award by several colleagues on her unit. Each one recognized her dedication and compassion, not only for patients, but also for colleagues. It was mentioned in multiple nominations that Halina is always going above and beyond for her patients. One noted, “Halina consistently comes to work with a great compassion for her patients. Her hard work is unmatched.” Another said, “Halina takes care of her patients as if they are her own family member.” She was also described as reliable, trustworthy, helpful, and exhibits great time management and teamwork. 

The Sunshine Award acknowledges nursing support team members including nursing assistants, emergency room technicians, and unit secretaries who exemplify excellence in their roles and consistently embody the organization’s Core Values.
