Michael Hough Named Colleague of the Month at Saint Francis

Mike, a coverage mechanic for the Department of Engineering, was selected as the May 2026 Colleague of the Month at Saint Francis.

Mike was nominated by a colleague who wanted to recognize him for his quick response when a temperature issue arose recently. The office was uncomfortably hot, making it difficult for providers and patients. Mike responded immediately and made adjustments to the steam in the system while also calling the appropriate team lead to ensure the underlying issue was fixed. In the meantime, he brought a fan to the office to help cool the area quickly.

The colleague who nominated Mike said, “These may not seem like big actions, however he made a world of difference for us. We were able to complete our direct patient care work much more efficiently because we were much more comfortable. He truly went above and beyond for us. Saint Francis is lucky to have a committed colleague such as Mike. We greatly appreciate his promptness and professionalism. Thanks, Mike!”
