Welcome Kelly Tyler, MD, to Saint Francis Hospital

Dr. Tyler is a colorectal surgeon, and will serve as the Chair of the Department of Surgery at Saint Francis.

Dr. Tyler most recently served as the Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate. She has held numerous leadership positions and is active in clinical innovation, safety and quality improvement initiatives, and health system committees. Dr. Tyler is a leader in several professional organizations, including serving on the Quality and Safety Committee of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the New England Surgical Society, the New England Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the Surgical Society of the Alimentary Tract.

Dr. Tyler is also a committed educator, holding several academic appointments and serving as an advisor and mentor for medical students, residents, and postdoctoral trainees, and has presented at numerous international and national conferences. She has also participated in public and community education efforts, including speaking engagements and interviews.
