Saint Francis Hospital Announces Colleague of the Month for April 2023

Anthony Young has been selected as Saint Francis Hospital's Colleague of the Month for April 2023. Tony, who is an Echocardiographer in Non-Invasive Cardiology, is being recognized for his commitment to his colleagues, his team, and the Trinity Health Of New England Mission.

Tony has a wealth of experience in echocardiology and successfully applies his skill set every day. He adapts to unit workflow and is proficient and efficient in all he does. Tony is always professional and will advocate for his patients to ensure their care is optimal. In addition, he is well respected by his colleagues and they always know it will be a wonderful day if Tony is working. In his nomination, Tony’s manager noted that she receives positive phone calls and emails every week about the difference he makes caring for our patients.

One such phone call from a patient expressed gratitude for Tony’s ability to make the patient feel like they were his only patient. He provided reassurance to the patient, who was anxious about the procedure, but ultimately had an incredibly positive experience. The patient also commented on what a great collaborator Tony was, helping others as well as doing his own work.

A physician leader in the department shared “I have received positive feedback from both patients and physicians about how great Tony is, not only professionally, but also about how personable he is, and how he makes patients feel very comfortable. A patient called recently specifically to praise Tony, and it was a delight to hear how positively impactful his presence is in our division.”
