Kaitlin Janco Named Colleague of the Month in the Hartford Market

Katie Janco, MS, CCC-SLP, a Speech Language Pathologist for Inpatient Rehab at Mount Sinai, was named the July 2024 Colleague of the Month.

Kaitlin, who works in Inpatient Rehab at Mount Sinai, was nominated by her manager, who said, “Katie is deserving of this title for many reasons. She is an excellent clinician who manages diagnoses of all kinds with the same precision each time.” Her nomination noted that Katie is committed to all patients, but that she holds a special empathy for those who come in with no family or financial support.

Katie’s manager said, “her integrity for her discipline, the department, and the hospital cannot be questioned. She strives for the highest level of care from herself, contributes it to her discipline, and expects it from the rest of the department.”

It was also noted that Katie is recognized often in patient experience comments as a caregiver who is compassionate with patients and families and provides them with the education they need. She is also a member of the Brain Injury Clinical Team and elevates the group with her participation.
