Congratulations to Matthew O’Herron, Security Officer in the Emergency Department (ED), for his selection as Mercy Medical Center's Colleague of the Month for January.
Matthew has been posted in the ED for the past four years and colleagues credit him for “consistently providing a safe environment for both patient and staff.” He is also known for treating patients with kindness and compassion and, as one colleague noted, “he also interacts unbelievably well with our elderly patients, dementia patients, patients with cognitive challenges as well as our psychiatric populations.” Colleagues also appreciate Matthew’s “positive attitude and watchful eye” knowing that he is available should they need his assistance.
