Saint Mary’s Takes Home Inaugural Pulse Survey Cup

Several times a year, Trinity Health issues Pulse Surveys to colleagues throughout all its ministries. The electronic surveys gauge colleagues’ feelings about their work experience, specifically on their teams as well as at their local health ministry.
A variety of questions are asked to help gain insights as to colleagues’ level of engagement. The StandOut Pulse surveys are important for Trinity Health as they inform leaders and play a role in shaping the future of the ministries and experiences within each environment.
To encourage engagement and participation, Trinity Health Of New England initiated a friendly competition among its facilities with a “Pulse Survey Cup” to be presented to the ministry with the highest response rate. Samantha Chicoine, Organization Effectiveness Program Consultant for Human Resources at Trinity Health said, “It is a fun way to gain some bragging rights and have a way of displaying the achievement.”
The inaugural cup was awarded to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. The Waterbury market’s Response Rate was 73 percent, which was six percent higher than the other ministries in the region. That rate helped Trinity Health Of New England achieve its highest regional survey response rate to date, 64 percent.
The Waterbury Market also placed in the top 25 ministries throughout the country in terms of response rate. Congratulations, Saint Mary’s!
