Michelle Ferreira Named Mercy’s Colleague of the Month

Michelle Ferreira, Mercy's Colleague of the Month for October. 

Michelle is credited with helping colleagues gain access to the onboarding computer programs needed for the transition to Baystate Health. As one colleague noted, “Michelle has patiently and professionally sat with each staff member, calmly guiding them through the process step by step. Her willingness to take the time to help others has made a challenging transition much easier for our team.”

In a show of initiative, Michelle also transports all lab specimens to the laboratory, allowing our “Hot Team” members to remain in the Operating Room to clean rooms and turn over cases. This extra effort has made a meaningful difference in the daily operation and efficiency of the department. Colleagues say Michelle also “consistently demonstrates a friendly, respectful, and positive attitude” when booking surgical cases.
