Annual Physician Awards Reception Celebrates Springfield Market Providers

Over 100 physicians and providers from Mercy Medical Center, Johnson Memorial Hospital, and Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group gathered at Max's Swing Lounge in Springfield for the Fall Physician Reception and Awards Presentation.
Mercy leaders join Physician and Provider Award recipients.
In addition to serving as a networking event, physician receptions also provide an opportunity to welcome new providers from throughout the Springfield Market.
Each year, several physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) are named as award recipients for providing outstanding service to patients at Mercy Medical Center or the local community. This year, the Distinguished Service Award was presented to Paul Farkas, MD; the Inpatient Physician Award was presented to Carlos Flores, MD; the Dennis Pause APP Award was presented to Danita Packard, APRN; the Community Physician Award was presented to Sarah Morrissey, DO; and the Community APP Award was presented to Mackenzie Gray, PA-C.
“These hardworking and dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers are not only committed to best practices, but they also keep their patients at the center of everything they do. We are grateful for their exemplary service to our hospitals and the local community,” said Robert Roose, MD, MPH, President of Community Hospitals, Trinity Health Of New England.
In addition to the awards presentation, attendees had an opportunity to learn about recent quality and safety metrics, the success of several new services, interact with leadership members, meet new colleagues and renew professional acquaintances.
