In her nomination, Yolanda was described as “truly a positive spirit within the department.” She often organizes events such as an “International Food Day” to bring the different cultures of the team together, a “Super Bowl Tailgating Party” before the big game, and a “March Madness” celebration, even offering up prizes for the best dish. It was said that “all these events have contributed to the unique bond within the Rehab Team and have brought many smiles and much laughter to the department.”

Yolanda’s nomination also stated that she “reminds us to be professional and leads by example, but also reminds us not to take life too seriously.” Yolanda embodies the spirit of rehab: compassion, kindness, and selflessness.
