Your Stories: Saint Francis and Mount Sinai Nurses Celebrated for Completing Nurse Residency Program
Congratulations to the 28 nurses from Saint Francis and Mount Sinai who recently completed the Nurse Residency Program.

Saint Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital celebrated another successful graduation of dedicated nurse residents who have completed a comprehensive, yearlong Nurse Residency Program. The group of 28 nurses from several departments participated in the program, including endoscopy, main operating room, critical care, medical-surgical cardiology, intermediate care, and behavioral health. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in their professional journey, and we could not be prouder of their achievements.

Throughout the past year, these nurses have embraced the opportunity to enhance their skills, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to evidence-based practices that will undoubtedly impact the quality of patient care. Our nurse residents completed evidence-based practice projects, covering a spectrum of topics such as increasing compliance with CHG bathing protocols, holding enteral nutrition when providing patient care to prevent aspiration, increasing compliance with C. Difficile protocols in critical care, fall prevention initiatives in the Emergency Department, achieving adequate colonoscopy bowel preparation for endoscopy procedures, and more.

Congratulations to the Nurse Residency Program February 2023 Cohort!
