Community Health and Well Being’s Greater Hartford Family Advocacy Center at Saint Francis was awarded a $7,500 grant from the Farmington Bank Community Foundation, which focuses on healthcare access and abuse prevention.

The award will be used to fund support group activities, including art therapy as a method of healing, for youth and families who have been impacted by sexual crimes and community violence. The grant will also cover transportation and childcare costs, which are often barriers experienced by clients seeking support services.

Submitted by Carolyn Alessi, Regional Director of Community Health and Well Being.
