Supporting the effort to raise awareness about lung cancer and the importance of early detection, Trinity Health Of New England is once again proudly serving as a sponsor of the American Lung Association’s 2024 LUNG FORCE Walk at Great River Park in Hartford. The annual event takes place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., and raises funds for research, early detection initiatives, and awareness outreach to vulnerable communities.

“LUNG FORCE walks foster connections between lung cancer survivors and their families, medical professionals and lung health advocates, and help raise funds for medical research and resources for those impacted by lung disease,” said Ashley LeBlanc, BSN, RN, Regional Nurse Manager of Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology, and the Lung Cancer Screening Program, who also serves as captain for the Trinity Health Of New England team participating in the walk.

All colleagues are welcome to participate in this year’s walk. The family and dog-friendly event includes a scenic walk along the Connecticut River.
