Your Stories: Community Conversation Sparks Meaningful Discussion on Health and Longevity
October 7, 2026Categories: Events
What began as a community conversation on health and longevity became something even more meaningful as residents gathered at the Rocky Hill Library for an engaging discussion led by Momina Afrede, DO, a primary care provider who practices at the Rocky Hill Access Center.
Momina Afrede, DO, spoke to residents about health and longevity during an event at the Rocky Hill Library.
Throughout the evening, attendees were actively involved in the discussion, asking thoughtful questions about staying healthy, aging well and making small lifestyle changes that can have a lasting impact. Dr. Afrede shared practical advice and encouraged an open dialogue, creating a welcoming environment where everyone felt comfortable practicing.
As the conversation progressed, community members began sharing their own experiences, favorite healthy recipes, wellness tips and strategies that have helped improve their health. What started as a presentation became a true community exchange, with neighbors learning from one another and building connections around a shared goal of living healthier lives.
The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation reflected the community’s interest in taking charge of their health. Many attendees stayed after the program to personally thank Dr. Afrede, continue the conversation and seek additional advice.
Events like this highlight the importance of bringing healthcare and community together. Through open conversations, education and meaningful connections with clinicians and neighbors alike, residents left with new ideas, valuable resources and a renewed commitment to their health and well-being.
