Your Stories: Rocky Hill Community Lunch Brings Health Care and Neighbors Together

The event featured barbeque, live music and plenty of conversation as community members had the chance to learn more about services available at the Rocky Hill Access Center. Representing the practice were Momina Afrede, DO; Kene Saunders, PA-C; and Ornela Sheno, Practice Supervisor. They were joined by Patty O’Keefe, Strategic Growth Associate, and Jacob Diogostine, Regional Coordinator, Community Health and Well-Being, representing Trinity Health Of New England. Together, the team spent the afternoon connecting with residents, answering questions and sharing information about local health care resources, including the Access Center’s upcoming Open House.

One of the most powerful moments of the afternoon came when a medical emergency occurred during the event. Without hesitation, Dr. Afrede quickly stepped in to assist. The response was immediate and seamless, providing support while help was arranged. It was an important reminder of the dedication our providers bring to the community every day, both inside and outside the clinical office.

Throughout the event, attendees were excited to learn more about the providers, services and specialties available at the Rocky Hill Access Center. Many also expressed interest in attending the Open House to meet additional providers, tour the facility and learn more about the care available to them close to home.

Events like these continue to strengthen the relationship between health care and the community, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations, education and connection while meeting people where they are.
