The Trinity Health Of New England regional stroke team were on hand at a recent Hartford Athletic game to help educate the community, provide resources and information, and celebrate stroke survivors for Team Up Against Stroke Night at Trinity Health Stadium.

Several members of the regional stroke team had a booth on the concourse of the stadium where they spoke to game attendees about how to recognize symptoms of a stroke and why one of the most important things to know when it comes to stroke is BE FAST.

BE FAST is an acronym that stands for Balance, Eyes, Face, Arm, Speech, and Time – recognizing these multiple signs of stroke and getting treatment quickly can prevent death or disability.

Several stroke survivors who received treatment and additional care through Trinity Health Of New England were honored before the game, participating in the pregame ceremonies and the National Anthem.
