Your Stories: Trinity Health Of New England Participates in Wellness Fair at JAX
April 13, 2026Categories: Colleague Corner
Trinity Health Of New England representatives recently spent the day at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) in Farmington for a health and wellness fair for their employees across New England. JAX, a world-class research institution with a location right here in our community, has both in-person and remote colleagues across the region.
(L to R) Jaime S. Foster, PhD, RD; Patty O'Keefe; Jamie Shawver, DO; Carolyn Alessi; and Jacob Diogostine represented Trinity Health Of New England at the JAX colleague wellness event.
The event brought together over 100 engaged, curious and energetic JAX staff members who were eager to learn about Trinity Health Of New England and the care we provide directly from our colleagues. From the start, the conversations were thoughtful and interactive, with JAX employees asking meaningful questions about access, primary care and navigating today’s health care landscape.
Representing Trinity Health Of New England were Carolyn Alessi, MBA; Jaime Foster, PhD, RD; Jamie Shawver, DO; Patty O’Keefe and Jake Diogostine, who shared how our organization supports patients across the continuum of care. What stood out most was how open and honest JAX colleagues were about their own health care challenges – from primary care providers retiring or going out of network, to long wait times that make it difficult to get the care they need. Being able to show that Trinity Health Of New England can not only meet those needs, but do so in a timely, accessible and compassionate way resonated deeply. In fact, there was an attendee who scheduled their first primary care visit in years as a direct result of the event.
Many JAX employees completed surveys expressing interest in future lunch and learns or webinar sessions, signaling a strong desire to continue the partnership and conversation. The event reflects an exciting new initiative for Trinity Health Of New England: partnering directly with local employers to bring health care closer to where people work and live. It’s a meaningful opportunity to grow our commercial patient base, support our primary care panels and, most importantly, meet people where they are. Making care approachable and accessible builds trust, removes barriers and reinforces what sets Trinity Health Of New England apart – showing up, listening and delivering care that truly fits our communities.
