On November 21, Saint Mary’s Hospital colleagues came together to embrace the true meaning of Thanksgiving, giving back to those in need. Through a heartfelt team effort, more than 25 baskets were “stuffed” with holiday essentials, including classic Thanksgiving side dishes, seasonal ingredients, and grocery store gift cards to help families purchase a turkey or their preferred meat.
Saint Mary's Hospital colleagues came together to give back to those in need and to support St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury Soup Kitchen.
This initiative reflects the generosity and compassion that define the Saint Mary’s community. Each basket was donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury Soup Kitchen, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing poverty, hunger, and homelessness. The Mission serves over 300 hot meals daily and operates a food pantry that provides weekly groceries at no cost, distributing more than 45,000 bagged meals annually.
Thanks to the kindness of our colleagues, local families enjoyed a festive meal and a sense of hope this holiday season.
