Saint Mary's lights up in teal for Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
Teal lighting reflects participation in global recognition of Alzheimer's Disease.
Teal is the official color of Alzheimer’s awareness and Saint Mary’s Hospital proudly stood in solidarity with the more than 6 million Americans and their families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Over 1,550 sites worldwide participated in this year’s campaign, helping to raise awareness and bring a sense of unity and hope for those impacted by the disease.
“Lighting our hospital in teal is a visible symbol of our support for patients, caregivers, and families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s,” said Robert Roose, MD, MPH, President of Saint Mary’s Hospital. “We are honored to be part of this global movement and remain committed to advancing awareness, compassion, and care for those affected.”
According to the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2025 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures report, Alzheimer’s remains the most common cause of dementia. Saint Mary’s participation in this awareness campaign reflects its broader mission to support community health and education. By taking part in “Light the World in Teal,” the hospital not only honors those living with Alzheimer’s but also helps spark important conversations about brain health, early diagnosis, and the critical role of caregivers.
