Saint Mary's Hospital colleagues come together to support the United Way of Greater Waterbury's Stock the Pantry.

The Stock the Pantry program helps ensure that families and children across the region have reliable access to food during the summer months. Saint Mary’s participation reflects the hospital’s Mission and Core Value of Commitment to Those Experiencing Poverty, as well as its ongoing dedication to caring for the community beyond its walls.

Each donated item represents a meaningful step toward addressing local food insecurity, an especially urgent need when school meal programs are not in session. “We are so grateful for Saint Mary's Hospital's contribution of 318.5 pounds which played a key role in reaching this incredible milestone… we collected more than 31,500 pounds of food to help stock the shelves of 9 local food pantries this summer,” shared United Way’s Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Volunteerism, Arianna Motta.
