Your Stories: Saint Mary’s Colleague Celebrates 50 Year Work Anniversary
June 4, 2025Categories: Colleague Corner
On June 2, Saint Mary’s Robin Cracco, MSN, RN, Clinical Manager, MS Infusion Center, celebrated 50 years of service to the hospital. Robin was honored with balloons and flowers, and she smiled for a picture alongside Shawna Edwards, DNP, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer, and Ann Ferraro, Administrative Assistant. “Fifty years ago, I was privileged to begin my beautiful nursing career at Saint Mary’s Hospital. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to heal many minds, bodies, souls, and hearts during my amazing journey,” she said.

Robin started in the Emergency Department and is now Clinical Manager in the MS Center. Colleagues praise her work ethic and spirit saying, “Robin is a legend, and is one of the best.” Over the past five decades, Robin brought smiles to those in and out of the hospital. In April, Robin was celebrated by Captain Michael Stokes of the Waterbury Police Department (WPD) for her decades of partnership and work helping the community’s most vulnerable through the WPD “Nighttime Outreach” initiative.
Even though Robin has 50 years under her belt at Saint Mary’s, she is focused on growth and understanding, especially in the coming years. “I come to work each day knowing that I will touch a life, or a life will touch me. My goal each day is to let no patient, family, or colleague come to me without leaving me better and happier. Arriving home each day with my mind and soul fulfilled by a job I love is the best feeling anyone could ask for!”
