Trinity Health Of New England EMS Holds Ambulance Dedication Ceremony

Trinity Health Of New England wrapped Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week with an ambulance dedication ceremony on Friday, May 22, at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Colleagues gathered in the hospital cul-de-sac to honor Scott Stocking and Stefan Suchciki and commemorate their lasting contributions to the organization and community.

During the ceremony, two new ambulances were unveiled in tribute. Each vehicle was draped with a black banner and purple ribbon, which family members were invited to remove, revealing commemorative decals beneath. Family members and colleagues shared reflections, offering heartfelt words that highlighted Scott and Stefan’s impact both professionally and personally. A toast with sparkling grape juice brought attendees together in a collective expression of respect and appreciation.
Scott Stocking, who died on May 25, 2025, served for 17 years after joining Campion Ambulance in 2008. Beginning as an EMT, he advanced quickly, becoming an Advanced EMT and Field Training Officer. Known for his humor and steady guidance, Scott frequently offered support to colleagues in challenging situations and was equally known for sharing stories of his personal adventures.
Stefan Suchcicki, who passed on January 16, 2025, dedicated 37 years to emergency services. In addition to his professional role, he volunteered extensively in his local community. Stefan was recognized for his expertise, mentorship and unwavering commitment to patient care. His colleagues remember him as a trusted partner who provided confidence and direction to those early in their careers.
The dedication of these ambulances serves as a lasting tribute, ensuring that both Scott and Stefan’s legacies continue to guide and inspire future generations of EMS professionals. Stefan’s ambulance will be in Waterbury, and Scott’s will be in Torrington.
