In October, the Vituity Cares Foundation invited the local community to the Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry at Saint Francis Hospital for a Fall Wellness Festival. A day of health, wellness, and community connection, the event took place on the campus of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
The Vituity Cares Fall Wellness Festival offered a wide range of health and wellness services to the local community.
The festival aimed to bring neighbors, families, and local organizations together to celebrate the season while promoting healthier lifestyles and increased access to essential services. The family-friendly event was free and open to everyone, offering a welcoming environment for individuals of all ages. The Fall Wellness Festival went beyond celebration – it was also about impact. Attendees had the opportunity to access a wide range of health and wellness services designed to meet the needs of the community, including health screenings, hygiene and menstrual products, and medication bins. La Tavola Ristorante was on hand for freshly made pizza, there was a live DJ and activities for children, and raffle prizes were distributed.
The event underscored the mission of Vituity Cares, which is to improve health equity by supporting underserved communities through volunteerism, education, and access to care. By partnering with local health care professionals, community organizations, and volunteers, Vituity Cares continues its commitment to addressing barriers in health care access. The Fall Wellness Festival was one of many initiatives that demonstrates the power of community engagement in improving public health outcomes.
Vituity Cares is looking forward to holding additional community events with even more offerings in the future.
